Secret Diary of an average Teenager
Well I know I said that this was going to be a music blog, but then I realised that it would be boring to talk just about music and I would run out of topics pretty fast so I have decided to transform my blog into an online journal. I will be posting my opinions about things and of course I will still be uploading about music but just not as much. I'll try my best to write occasionally but I do get busy doing other things like my schooling plus I'll be making up my own daily schedule so my day plans out better. Well my first post is about my city and how it has a bad reputation. Even though the city does have a bad part (I've seen it first-hand), it also has hidden beauty that not many people can see.
Wollongong itself is a beautiful sea-side city located about an hour away south of Sydney. Many people see Wollongong as an 'eye-sore', and yes, I was one of those people but I realised Wollongong will always be my home, I grew up in the Wollongong region and I still live in the Wollongong region. Part of the problem is our council who keep delaying things so Wollongong never has anything new happening. A couple of years ago, I saw an article in the newspaper about how Wollongong would of looked like by now if the council let the developments happen and I tell you, Wollongong would of looked like a billion dollar city. Along with that problem, you also have to pay for parking at our beautiful city! Everyone just heads further down south to Shellharbour which has a bigger mall and free parking. Well enough of the negativity. I love our backyard because We seem to be attracting a lot of pretty birds at our house lately. I love the Rainbow Lorikeets the best. We have no idea what the other big bird is though, we think it's maybe an owl of some sort. The Lorikeets make a huge mess when they get the seeds out of these plants and then drop the sticks all over the concrete below but it's worth the mess to see these beautiful birds. I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I promise to write something more interesting in the coming week or so.
